Flyfishing Stripping Basket/Landing Net/FishHolder-resuscitator

What is it? Why do you want one?

basket 2.jpg (21535 bytes)

  • It is a floating stripping basket where you can store your line between casts.

  • It positions alongside your kayak where it allows a natural extension of your arm before dropping the stripped line.

  • You do not need the extra arm motion to place the stripped line inside the kayak which usually interferes with the natural retrieving motion of the fly.

  • It protects your stripped line from drifting away in the wind or current.

  • It also protects your line from hanging up on weeds or other obstructions.

  • It improves your casting as well as your retrieving, by reducing drag from wayward drifting or weed tangled line.

  • It attaches to your kayak by attaching the velcro straps around the straps to your seat/backrest.

  • It can also be used to improve flycasting while wading in swift streamwater or weed strewn lake water.

  • It can also be used as a landing net or a live holding enclosure for resuscitating exhausted fish before release or picture taking.

  • It also makes a nice backrest when place behind your seat and up against a cooler.

  • When stored below deck, it will add flotation to your kayak.
