9/29/09 Update

Chris Burke 9 29 09 Bass Web.jpg (31969 bytes)

This 6 lb. Bass was caught on a Golden Pickerel FROG

The bass with the goldish color was caught with a golden pickeral frog in Maryland at Tuckahoe State Park where that picture of the creek is. The bass was about 6 pounds but looks alot bigger in the pic.  The last full moon I went toTuckahoe and caught over 40 bass on the frog it was epic they were hitting even in only the moon light. The only reason I left was due to forgetting my "off" and suffered numerous bug bites. I also caught the chain pickeral at the same place.

This Chain Pickerel 28.5 inches was caught on the FROG.

That chain pickeral hit the frog at least a half dozen times before devouring it right in front of about 10 kayakers it was incredible. I was suprised to see minimal damage to the frog.

Chris Burke- Maryland FROG Fishing 5/10/09 Update

Burke Bass 5 10 09 Web.jpg (26450 bytes)

This beautiful bass caught on 5/10/09 by Chris Burke on the FROG in a Maryland pond.

hey ken im fishing in a shallow pond with hydrilla growing to about a foot under the waterline. the bass sit at the top of the grass right under the waterline. i can see them most of the time. one of the problems i am having is i know im missing my chance at the bigger, smarter bass but when i cast the frog past them the power pro hitting the water scares them off. nothing worse than seeing them swim off with a big wake in thier path. another thing ive been meaning to tell you is that you have changed my fishing a great deal in your video you talk about 'watching the wake' i used to watch the line for strikes keeping my eyes off of the bait, what a bad habit that was no telling how many fish i misssed not watching for the wake.

yeah I've been using 8 foot fluero leader it really helps with the frog diving I didn't use one last year I get alot more action with the leader. I do have your bass DVD. How much are the hi def pickeral frogs?

     Thanks     Chris

Both bass caught on 4/30/09 by Chris on the FROG

hey ken, its chris burke i got a chance to get out and swim the frogs today, while the bass where still on bed. caught a couple of nice ones! i also got my camera set up, thank god. i wanted to try the frog on my baitcaster, i like it alot better than on my spinning rod. i caught the bigger one while trying to pick out a backlash, the frog was right by the kayak the bass grabbed it and went straight down he held on long enough for me to finish fixing the backlash and reel in the mile of slack, it was crazy. that bass knew that frog was real, 'he was wrong"  i know the bass in the pics are not as big as yours but they're not bad for here. talk to you soon.       chris burke

Hey Ken,

Its Chris Burke from Maryland. I finally got to use the FROGs I bought from you today, and all I have to say is, "WOW". The bass don't just hit these things. They eat them. I used to love those Spro frogs, but they sink so you have to fish them soo fast and you get a lot of "hits" off them in the summer time but when the fish hits--- it immediately spits it. Another thing with the Spro frogs, the fish tend to go airborne. I guess because they are moving soo fast. With your FROGs, they grab it and go straight to the bottom. Its amazing. I can't wait till next spring when their really hitting top water. And if you have some time Ken I have a couple of questions about mounting a fishfinder to my Malibu X13.

Thanks,

Chris Burke
